The recently formed Botham Accounting Fives Football Team (BAFF) took to the pitch in their pristine, straight-out-of-the-bag footie strip at the Business Fives Football Tournament which was played at Powerleague Nottingham.   They were a nervous bunch having never played together before.  Team manager Jamie Varney said

“It was a great event – we were able to indulge our passion for the game whilst raising money for good causes.  The Gents played with skill and aplomb for a first outing and in the group stage we won 2 games out of 4.   

This allowed us to progress to the Europa League Quarter Final which we won with a resounding victory of 5-2.  The excitement was palpable as we headed to the semi-final but we were defeated in a tight game to Mazars 2-3.  We will be studying the replays to see what went well so that we can continue to improve our style and our game for our next contest.”
