As the nights draw in and the leaves are on the turn Nottingham Chartered Accountants’ Student Society NCASS held their annual ball at Colwick Hall.
It was a fabulous evening to celebrate the success and hard work of Nottinghamshire’s student accountants. The Botham students were there to add their contribution to the party atmosphere.
NCASS supported two charities – Alex’s Wish which helps to raise funds for research in to new treatments, and hopefully, a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This is a devasting condition which affects 1 in every 3,500 boys born and destroys every muscle in their bodies due to a lack of protein; and the MS Society which is the UK’s largest charity supporting people affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
There was a charity raffle to raise money for these worthy causes and it proved to be a lucky night for our Managing Director, Andrew Botham, as he scooped up tickets for the forthcoming Mark Gatiss retelling of the Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol – A Ghost Story at Nottingham Playhouse.
