Beautiful macro photography of Bethany’s work is used to breathe life and creativity into our documents, and you’ll also find her sculptures in our offices and meeting rooms.
The vividly coloured sculptural works of Bethany Wood combine glass with metals in experimental ways, creating beautiful organic objects. The results have fluidity and structure, momentum and permanence, transparency and clarity.
Bethany Wood is the founder and director of Blowfish Glass, an artist-led, hybrid gallery and hotshop. Bethany is a design graduate from De Monfort, specialising in glass making. She has focussed the previous 8 years developing her skills by working for renowned glass makers across the country.
A collection of Bethany’s own work was launched 4 years ago and she exhibits with high end galleries and interior designers internationally as well as being an artist representative for many other prominent artists.
As a multidisciplinary artist Bethany merges her two artistic passions – painting and glass making – to create a series of Molten Landscapes. Bethany said
“I like to express myself with the fluidity of the material. The directional arrangement of a colour palette can form the depth of an abstract landscape. I use my own paintings as a reference whilst making my Molten’s in the hot shop. Each individual artwork from my series has been inspired by a specific place.”
Two Molten Landscapes artworks – Sahara and Steel are featured throughout the Botham Accounting website and our branding. The originals are on display in our meeting rooms and reception.
