Here at Botham Accounting we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and safe environment for our employees and visitors. We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Full-Time Receptionist based at our office in Nottingham City Centre who will also oversee facilities maintenance, health and safety, and fire safety. Full training and support on this will be provided and the role can be undertaken as an apprentice whilst studying for Level 3 in Business Administration.
Key Responsibilities
Reception Duties
- Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments.
Facilities Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Coordinate with external suppliers for repairs and maintenance services.
- Help to maintain our inventory of office supplies and equipment.
Health and Safety
- Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with UK health and safety regulations.
Fire Safety
- Develop and maintain fire safety plans and procedures.
- Conduct regular fire alarm tests, annual drills and ensure all staff are aware of emergency protocols.
- Inspect and maintain fire safety equipment.
- Liaise with our fire safety suppliers for maintenance of our fire safety equipment and alarms and as needed.
Essential qualifications
GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English & Maths.
- Able to work under pressure and to be adaptable.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and able to manage own time efficiently.
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and health and safety regulations.
- Certification in health and safety or fire safety is a plus.
- Experience of Microsoft Teams, Office and Excel.
