I joined Botham accounting as a Tax Manager from a firm specialising in tax advisory and private client work. Prior to this, I spent 10 years at a mid-tier accountancy firm in Leicester where I trained in accounts and audit before specialising in tax.  My background in accounts and audit enables me to understand all angles of planning and advise on the best strategy from both an accounts and tax perspective.

I have recently been promoted to Head of Tax and I manage the tax team.

I have wide ranging experience across all areas of tax but specialise in private client, corporate tax and tax planning.  This involves both compliance and advisory work. I organise the tax training and development needs of the whole team and love helping my colleagues with their career plans. I enjoy all areas of planning and talking with clients to make sure we understand their needs and can manage their affairs effectively for them.  I love what I do and it is amazing to see the successes of both team members and our client base.

I am excited to drive the department forward and am eager to see the continuing expansion not only of the tax team but the growth of the firm.  It is an incredibly dynamic environment and everyone thrives off the diversity and multi-disciplinary nature of the work.

Outside of work, I love art and spend the free time that I have either painting, drawing or visiting exhibitions!  My work was purchased for mass print, which other than obtaining my Chartered Tax Adviser qualification, was a very defining moment!
